Charles Marcus Stone Jr.
Born April 28, 1921, in Nashville, TN. Predeceased by his wife of 69 years, Betty Joan Samberg Stone.
Survived by daughter, Sandra S. Merritt (Cullen); son, Charles M. Stone, III (Shannon); grandsons, Frank M. Blackwell, III, and Charles Marcus Stone, IV; great-grandchildren, Reed, Cason, and Clint Blackwell. Also survived by a niece and two nephews.
Graduated from Peabody Demonstration School and attended the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Mr. Stone joined his father in Charles M. Stone Co., the first independent automotive-electric service in Middle Tennessee, in 1941. Currently owner of TAFA, Inc., a tractor-trailer alignment business, he was a past president of the Independent Garage Owners of America.
A member of Forest Hills United Methodist Church (formerly Waverly Place), Mr. Stone was also a member of Corinthian Lodge #414, the Scottish Rite and York Rite, and was a past Commander of the Legion of Honor of Al Menah Shrine Temple. During World War II, he served as a Staff Sergent in the US Army Air Corps in the European Theatre.

Celebration of Life Service will be on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at eleven o'clock at Forest Hills United Methodist Church, 1250 Old Hickory Blvd., Brentwood.
Gathering of family and friends, Monday, November 23, from four o'clock until eight o'clock at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home, and one hour prior to service on Tuesday at the church. Interment to follow service in Woodlawn Memorial Park
